Jahnel-Kestermann produce gearboxes and gearbox parts up to 300 tons.
The core business and abilitiy is the toothing technology.
Thanks to newest machine technology we are able to produce hardened and ground tooth parts up to 3000 mm diameter. For large welded gears we have developed a process which is legally protected.
A combination of running, spline and coupling toothing is also possible.
We produce parts up to a length of 5000 mm and module up to 97 mm in spur and helical design, double helical toothing in exact relation of toothing to each other (Apex) as well as hollow gears with inside toothing up to outer diameter of 3000 mm. We offer geometrical determination (cylindricity, conicity, wrenching, inclination) on 3 D measuring machine „Wenzel“ 2,5 m x 4 m. Tests for grinding temper are executed in our works by means of Streßtec (BNA) , Nital etching bath up to 1800 mm diameter and a unit weight up to 8 tons. Further tests at part and toothing are made by means of US and surface crack test, phased array.
Unit weight up to 100 tons on boring mills are permitted.
Our heat treatment shop offers case hardening, hardening and tempering, annealing diameter up to 2000 mm, length up to 1900 mm) carbonization by gas, quenching in salt bath under monitored dose (max. case-hardening depth 6 mm, max. unit weight 6 tons)
